International Floorball Federation Awarded Diamond Sport for All Certification under INTERACT+ Project

The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has proudly been awarded the prestigious Diamond Level Sport for All Certification, an exceptional recognition that affirms the federation's leadership in advancing inclusive, accessible, and community-centered sport worldwide. This top-tier certification acknowledges IFF's ongoing dedication to broadening participation and making floorball available to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

INTERACT+, funded by the European Union, aims to transform the global sports landscape by supporting international sport organizations and national federations in embedding Sport for All principles into their structures and activities. The Sport for All Label serves as a mark of distinction for organizations that are actively fostering equity, inclusion, and diversity through their programs, structures, and outreach efforts.

IFF earned the coveted Diamond Certification for its sustained efforts in developing flexible and innovative formats of floorball that cater to various community needs. From grassroots activities to new forms of the game such as StreetFloorball and 3v3 Floorball-which can be played with or without a goalkeeper-the federation has demonstrated a clear commitment to making the sport more accessible and adaptable.

In reflecting on this milestone, IFF Secretary General John Liljelund shared:

"The Diamond Sport for All Certification will help IFF to develop and continue to spread different versions of Sport for All floorball, may that be StreetFloorball or the new version of our 3v3 Floorball, which can be played both with and without a goalkeeper. The certification gives us, our member associations, and floorball enthusiasts a solid ground when approaching schools, educational institutions, and other organizations to introduce the game."

This significant recognition not only highlights IFF's progress in promoting universal access to floorball but also serves as a blueprint for how sport organizations can integrate Sport for All values into their strategies, programs, and future plans. With INTERACT+ offering continuous support through resources, peer learning, and development tools, the IFF's achievement shines as an inspiring example of how sport can truly become a vehicle for health, inclusion, and community growth on a global scale.
